About ARSF

Angels Refugee Support Foundation (ARSF) is a refugee-founded, refugee-led, and refugee-run organisation operating in Kampala and across three refugee settlements in Uganda (Nakivale, Kyaka II, and Rwamwanja). ARSF envisions a free, vibrant, and unified movement of refugees living in communities that uphold and protect fundamental human rights. Our mission is to defend and advocate for the rights of vulnerable refugees and host communities, challenging stereotypes, violence, and all forms of discrimination.

Upcoming event

As part of our ongoing efforts to promote the rights of refugees and host communities, particularly their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), ARSF is organising a Regional SRHR Advocacy Training Workshop under the project titled: “Improving Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights for Vulnerable Refugees and Host Communities.”

Proposed Activity

In line with this mission, ARSF will host a regional SRHR advocacy training workshop that aims to empower participants with the knowledge and tools to advocate for equitable access to SRHR services. The workshop will bring together representatives from like-minded organisations across Eastern and Southern Africa to address the inequalities and barriers that prevent individuals, especially marginalised groups, from fully accessing and exercising their SRHR. The training workshop will also focus on strengthening regional collaboration to improve access to comprehensive SRHR services and ensure the protection of these rights for all.

Overal Aim

The overall goal is to enhance access to SRHR information and services for vulnerable refugees and host communities through collective action and advocacy.

Activity Dates

August 6 – 7, 2025

Intended Beneficiaries

This workshop will convene experts and advocates from across the Eastern and Southern African region to explore collaborative strategies for addressing SRHR challenges through advocacy.

The event will host a total of 70 participants, including both in-person and virtual attendees:

20 representatives from partner organisations (online)

   30 in-person participants

   20 like-minded stakeholders (online)
